yeah i started ballet when i was 6 and i just got on pointe and know im 15 soo umm… maybe i just suuck.. or maybe not

its a normal thing that all dancers can do
but that’s cause dancers need to be extremely flexible

I’m 15 and I want too start with ballet. I dance since I was 6, but never ballet, can I start with ballet now, or am I too old? I don’t want to go proffesional or something.
Can someone please tell me this?

i can watch this video over and over again and i’ll never get bored ^^:)

Well i can’t say all dancers can do that.
Wholly depends on flexibility or perhaps the level of training one receives.
For those professional ones, say Svetlana Zakharova, they can hold that pose without their hands.
The guy that’s holding that pose starting ballet at 17…so yeah he’s been through some years of training to get that…still awesome though

i’m also a dancer…b4 we start to dance rehearsals..we doing stretching then ballet and lastly the loco-motors…
well it feels good after doing that…
hehehe!

January 17th, 2009 at 11:02 am
yes we do, do that

I am a non-dancer with a question. At :48, is that a “normal” thing that all dancers can do, or do you have to be extremely flexible? Does that make sense?

It’s true. I started ballet at 12 and I was en pointe after 3 months, but I know girls who took years.

omg pointe is awesome, it’s soo cool, i got mine 6 months ago and now im 12!

They’re just layers of glue that you can stand on.
Once the glue dries, it’s incredibly hard, almost like wood. =]

I been doing dance for 7 years and I am still doing it!!
January 23rd, 2009 at 4:33 am
o i hated waiting 4 pointe shoes!!!!! but once u get en pointe its all worth it.

The amount of time it takes varies from student to student. Many factors contribute to the amount of time it takes.
It is possible that in two years you could be en pointe, it also possible that you might not.
It’s an annoying answer, but a truthful one

I think I’ve asked this on another video but I can’t find it… :[
I’ll be 14 in three days and in late December I’ll be starting ballet.
I know that there’s no sure way to tell how long it will be, but is there an estimate as to how long it will be before I can begin pointe work?
I was hoping to be en pointe by 16..is that too much to hope for?

I took ballet for some months when i was little, i didn’t have the passion for it and i was scared because of the shows we were going to do lol
I wish i stayed

I just started pointe this year and we are still mostly doing barre work! I can’t WAIT til we get 2 turn in the center. I can only do 3 pirouettes on soft shoes. :[
